Carbine

Level 1

This course is designed to increase familiarity and confidence with the AR15 weapon system. Students will learn safe weapons handling and will be introduced to the fundamentals of tactical shooting.

Level 2

The Level 2 Carbine Course is designed to dramatically increase proficiency with the AR-15 type weapon system. This course will begin to commit the foundation built from the Level 1 Carbine Course to muscle memory, while at the same time adding more complexity and simulated stress to live fire exercises.

Precision Rifle

Level 1

This course is designed to introduce the shooter to the fundamental principles of long-range marksmanship. The student will learn the mental and physical core skills required to consistently apply the fundamentals of marksmanship in the natural embedded operational setting.

Level 2

This course in designed to build on an established understanding and practice of the core fundamental principles of long-range marksmanship. Students will learn how to employ and maintain marksmanship principles under a variety of stress conditions.

Specialty Courses

Land Navigation

This course is designed to introduce the student to the topographical map, compass and GPS.

Observation

This course is designed to introduce the student to the theory of observation, the physical limitations of human sensory and information processing. The effects of stress on concentration and attention. Why things are seen and target indicators. Students shall receive training in memory ehancement skills and methods of conducting observation and searching ground through a variety of KIMS and observation exercises. Students shall also be introduced to the principles of camouflage concealment and individual movement techniques. This course includes a live fire shoot package.

Surveillance

All actions are sudden for those apparently unaware. This course is designed to enhance observation skills and increase situational awareness by introducing the student to techniques designed to speed the operator through the decision making cycle (OODA loop). These include: behavior assessment, pattern perception, rapid threat recognition and facial recgonition. This training package includes an introduction to information/data logging and recording requirements and technqiues, building detailed overhead and side matrix, assessment of construction and building type. This course includes a live fire shoot package.

Kopf Jager Fieldcraft Challenge

Gut Check, Man Test, Hammer Ops, Ninja Punch have all been used to describe the annual Fieldcraft Challenge. This event will test individual performance within a team setting. The course is designed to push the individual past perceived mental and physical limitations, through the evaluation of physical conditioning, equipment readiness, land navigation skills, marksmanship skills, observation skills and mindset (committment to completing the task, by-passing failure points and trust in level of training and team-mates).
